Tee’s March Playlist ’21

The last time i did a monthly playlist was July 2020 and it got lots of great feedback and even lots of people asking when i was going to do another one. i’m so sorry it took seven months to put together another one.

Since July 2020, lots of great music have been released and old gems discovered by me. From albums dropping to amazing singles, today i bring to you 10 songs which are always on repeat on my phone. Like last time, it was so hard to bring out only 10 songs from my very long personal playlist.

This month, the 10 songs consists of only Nigerian artistes.

As you must have heard, Spotify, a music streaming platform, is now available in Nigeria! So, at the end of this article, there are two links to the playlist, one for Apple Music and one for Spotify.

Enjoy!

1. Nesesari by Kizz Daniel (feat Philkeyz)

“You got to take it easy on the boy”

The first time i heard this song was through a tik tok video that went viral and i fell in love with it. When i searched for it through Shazam, i was so shocked to find out that it was from Kizz Daniel’s not-so-recent album, No Bad Songs. I thought it was a new song.

2. Ke Star by Focalistic & Davido (feat Virgo Deep) {Remix}

“It goes down when my g’s connect”

Okay, to be honest, first time i heard this remix, the first thing that came to my mind was “unnecessary” but now? A JAM. Every time it comes on, i can’t help but sing along.

3. Rush by Dangbana Republik & Bella Schmurda

“Last last everybody go payinn”

This song? My hostel mates are probably tired of it because i play it every single day LOL.

4. Mine by EMO Grae

“I’ll be yours and you forever mine”

Every time i listen to this song, i close my eyes and pretend someone dedicated it to me at a bar with a live performance.

5. Bounce by Rema

“NA WHO DO THE BEAT? JAZZY!!!”

Omo! First listen, i wan craseeeeeee. This song was something i never knew i NEEDED. It’s so good, it makes me want to cry. I can’t wait for the album. Rema’s got a new raver now 🙂

6. Flex by Kizz Daniel

‘Oluwa lo ni ganja”

It took a couple of listens and a couple of skips for me to like this song but it has now earned a spot on this playlist because i love it so much now.

7. Kilonso by Lord B (feat. Smada)

“If you give me love, i will take it and I promise I wouldn’t break it”

This song was one of the most anticipated songs on Twitter NG and it was so much worth the wait. From the snippet, i was always singing it every single day. Now with the full song out, it has refused to leave my head, but i don’t mind one bit.

8. Mr Money by Asake (feat. Zlatan & Peruzzi)

“And as long as I get the bag on a regs, my energy high as f**k”

This remix was NEEDED and Peruzzi ATE. Definitely one of my top songs at the moment.

9. Kilofese by Ziloneesky (feat. Mayorkun & Busiswa)

“T’o ba ti mo mi then you know somebody”

This song gave me mixed feelings at first but I love it now. Would it have been okay without a remix? Yes, but Mayorkun still ate though. Busiswa? Hmm let’s just say it would’ve been okay with her part.

10. Pronto by Ajebo Hustlers & Omah Lay

“you dey whine fit to make a man craze”

This song is like a Port Harcourt love song. That’s all. It’s definitely a 10/10.

That’s it! For easy listening, i curated the playlist on both Spotify and Apple Music. Links below

  1. My favourite song from this playlist is Rush by Bella Shmurda. I don’t know what they put in that song but it’s a vibe!

    “50/50, life na dice” 😂

Nice playlist. I haven’t listened to Rema’s bounce yet but I heard it’s fire.

    I enjoyed reading this.
